Putting a video on your website is a great idea for so many reasons. Videos are more immediate than text. they can convey information quickly. Remember the old phrase ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’? Well what is a half a minute long video except a series of about 1000 pictures. So, you might say a video is worth a million words.
Well, perhaps that calculation is open to disagreement, but the basic point that a video can help you appear higher on search results isn’t really in doubt.
If you hate blogging (as I know some of our customers do) then try videoblogging instead. Many people who don’t feel comfortable writing about their business are great at talking to other people with enthusiasm about what they do. If you are one of those people then record yourself and put it on your website.
Give it a go with a webcam or mobile phone and see what you can do.
