How we supported Enforce Logic to boost online sales

In summer 2009 we were contracted to redesign the online shop for enforce-logic.co.uk. After an initial meeting it was clear the brief was far from the usual 'go away and built it' type of thing.

Our client had done a great job of builing his online business from scratch without understanding html. He had cut and pasted code together to create a working shop which was now turning over a sunstatial sum. However, it was now a victim of its own success and really needed to look better, run more smoothly and above all, get some search engine visibility.

However, the client was really enjoying the hands on approach of playing with design, layout and buttons himself and didn't want to be restricted by an off the shelf shop management system. He also wanted to continue using the same mshopping cart system he had always used since he felt comfortable with it.

Our solution was to build a new set of templates and offer the customer the otion to integrate them into his site or teach him how to do it himself. As he wanted to learn more about websites, he opted for the latter option and so we built a series of simple templates that gave a more professional look to the site and also enabled search engines to find his content with ease.
